Admission Policies and Guidelines for D Y Patil University Online Programs

Program Selection:

• • Once enrolled, students cannot change their selected program.
  • Students should ensure they have made the correct program selection and have carefully read the program details before applying.
  • Transfer from D Y Patil University Online programs to regular campus programs is not allowed.

Program Priority:

• • Admission will be offered based on the priority of programs mentioned by the applicant in the Online Application form. Applicants must ensure they select the correct program preference.

Changes to Application:

• • Changes to application fields or documents can only be made before the session begins.
  • Incorrect information in the application may result in permanent debarment from the program.

Eligibility Criteria:

• • Eligibility rules for each program will be strictly followed and cannot be relaxed under any circumstances.
  • Applicants must ensure they fulfill the eligibility requirements for the program they are applying for.

Final Admission of International Students:

• • International students’ final admission will be confirmed after verification of original certificates and payment of fees.

Provisional Admission for Awaiting Results:

• • Candidates awaiting the results of their qualifying examination may apply, but their selection will be contingent on fulfilling all eligibility requirements at the time of admission.

Document Verification:

• • Candidates must produce self-attested scanned copies of original mark sheets and certificates, including qualifying examinations, at the time of reporting.
  • Failure to provide documents will result in cancellation of the admission offer.
  • Provisional candidates must submit their final mark sheets and migration certificates once available, failing which their admission will be canceled.

Admission Changes and Errors:

• • Changes in eligibility criteria or rules after notification will apply to all applicants.
  • Admission is not transferable from one program to another.
  • Admissions will be rejected if the qualifying examination is not recognized by the university.
  • No correspondence will be made to applicants who are not selected for admission.

Program Allocation:

• • The program/branch/subject specialization will be allotted based on merit and preferences mentioned in the application form.

Provisional Admission:

• All admissions are provisional until document verification is completed.

Admission Deadline for Supplementary/Improvement Students:

• Students awaiting supplementary/improvement results must submit relevant documents by the submission deadline.

International Students' Document Requirements:

• International students do not need to submit a migration certificate at the time of admission.

Cancellation of Admission:

• If any errors or omissions are detected during verification, the university reserves the right to cancel the admission.

Degree Requirements:

• To be awarded a degree, students must complete the minimum credits required within the stipulated period.

Withdrawal and Program Duration:

• Students may withdraw temporarily from the program after completing the first semester, but must complete the program within 4 years from the date of admission.
• Extended periods will be considered as private candidates, ineligible for ranking or awards.

Code of Conduct:

• International students are required to follow the same code of conduct as Indian students enrolled in the same program.

Examination and Degrees:

• The examination procedure, fees, grade card issuance, passing certificates, and degree awards will be the same for both Indian and international students.
